Most recently heard if not seen in the Oscar-winning animated film, “Up!,” Asner, now 80-years-old, is still at the top of his profession. As FDR, Asner looks back on the events and decisions that
shaped a nation, reflecting on his years in office, from inauguration to the trials of World War II, and on his relationships with those closest to him including his wife Eleanor and his mistress Lucy Mercer. Asner’s evocative performance provides insight into FDR’s historic decisions, decisions that changed not only the history of the United States but of the world.
