Nazareth's CSDA Raises More Than $2,000

Many smiles were to be had on April 1 during Nazareth College’s Communication Sciences and Disorders Association’s (CSDA) fourth annual SMILE Dinner fundraiser. Together, they worked with Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong and raised $2,390 that was donated to the Cleft and Craniofacial Center to help children born with cleft conditions.

CSDA is Nazareth College’s Chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Each year more than 200,000 children are born with cleft condition, making it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to eat, speak, socialize or smile. Last year, the club was able to raise $2,470 for the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.

Founded in 1924, Nazareth College is located on a close-knit, suburban campus in the dynamic, metropolitan region of Rochester, N.Y. The College offers challenging academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in health and human services, education, and management. Nazareth's strong cultures of service and community prepare students to be successful professionals and engaged citizens. The College enrolls approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 1,000 graduate students.
