Help for Japan Concert Raises $2,400 for Red Cross

Nazareth College’s Department of Music raised $2,400 during a special benefit concert, Help for Japan, with all the proceeds being given to the Red Cross for the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami on Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Golisano Academic Center’s Linehan Chapel on the Nazareth College campus. 

Nazareth’s Department of Music hosted Help for Japan along with its Japanese friends, Nazareth’s Center for Civic Engagement, and the College’s Center for Spirituality. The concert  included various genres of music; jazz, pops, and classical. Students and faculty from the Department of Music also performed, along with Japanese students from Eastman School of Music.
