David Sanchez, Sociology Major 2011
"Experiencing a Liberal Arts education with a focus on Sociology and Anthropology, along with learning with professors both inside and outside the classroom, broadened my understanding of our globalizing world that calls for learning merged with action. I can confidently say that my everyday life and work is informed by studies and people I met during my two years at Nazareth".

Sociology looks behind the scenes to try to understand relationships between individuals and groups. Anthropology is the study of cultures across the boundaries of space and time. The interdisciplinary Social Science major integrates five academic disciplines -- Anthropology, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. While each program is different, all of them seek to foster an understanding and appreciation of the diversity among and within societies and cultures. In sum, they seek to prepare good world citizens.
