Nazareth College is proud to announce that Art Education Instructor and Director of Saturday Art for Children and Teens, Tracie Glazer, has been chosen as the 2011 New York State Art Teacher’s Association (NYSATA) Educator of the Year for Region Two. Glazer will be recognized at the NYSATA’s Annual Conference held at the Westchester Marriott Hotel in Tarrytown, N.Y. where she will receive her award in recognition of her hard work and dedication as an art educator. The Awards Brunch will be held on Sunday, November 20 at 9:30 a.m. in honor of the recipients.
Region Two has selected Glazer as the recipient for this year’s award due to her interest in furthering the field of art education both inside and outside of the classroom. Glazer's passion about furthering art education in the lives of teens and children alike is evident in her work as director of Saturday Art for Children and Teens at Nazareth College. As the recipient for the Region Two Art Educator of the Year, Glazer will be up for nomination as the 2012 New York State Art Educator of the Year among a pool of 10 nominees. Glazer resides in Rochester, N.Y.
