Nazareth Participates in 8th Annual Teen Book Festival Read-A-Thon, Oct. 13

Nazareth College students and faculty will join 75 local teens in the eighth annual Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival Read-A-Thon on Saturday, October 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in Pittsford Plaza, located at 3349 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618. The Read-A-Thon will help cover the costs of the Teen Book Festival, keeping it free for thousands of teen readers. Tops Markets will provide snack breaks to help the readers refuel during the four hour reading marathon. All teens around Rochester are welcome to participate by raising a minimum of $20 in pledges.

With the goal of raising $3500, TBF is also inviting Barnes & Noble shoppers to contribute. This weekend only (October 13 & 14), shoppers who present TBF vouchers will be able to donate a portion of their store purchases to the Festival. Nazareth College is the proud host of the 8th Annual Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival: a day-long celebration featuring authors who write specifically for teens, which will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  Downloadable Barnes & Noble shopping vouchers can be found at www.teenbookfestival.org.
