Nazareth College is hosting an author-signing on Saturday, December 11 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. to showcase memoir writing for women. A Nazareth alumna, Barbara Lamark ’57, has recently co-authored the book According To Us: Four Older Women Tell Their Stories along with Diane Drechsler, Berdjouhi Esmerian, and Norma Rappl. They will sign their new book in the International Room of the Otto A. Shults Community Center located on the Nazareth College campus and parking is available in Lots G and H. The event is free and open to the public. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618. For more information, contact Marjorie Baker Price at (585) 750-1751 or Marjorie@centeringtools.com.

According To Us: Four Older Women Tell Their Stories demonstrates the unique and powerful position older women express and offer through memoir writing. It all began in the 90s when Marjorie Baker Price taught a class at Nazareth College titled Tell Your Story, Write Your Life. Four women enjoyed the class so much that even when it stopped several years later they wanted to regularly continue getting together to write their memoirs. Price wrote the book’s introduction and a chapter in the book about how to write a memoir. All four memoir authors and Price will be present to sign copies of the book which retails for $12.95. It will be available in the Nazareth College bookstore.
