New Student Orientation

For incoming freshmen and transfer students, your introduction to Nazareth begins with our Orientation Program which takes place prior to the start of classes.  The Orientation Program is built around the student experience and features events, activities, and information sessions that are meant to help you not only acclimate to campus but feel at home here.   We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into the Nazareth family!

Thursday, August 21

8:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
NEW RESIDENT STUDENTS MOVE-IN
Follow move-in signs to parking lot and check-in information for your residence hall.

ORIENTATION CHECK-IN FOR ALL NEW STUDENTS

Welcome to Nazareth College! Make sure to stop by and pick up your Orientation materials and Naz swag. Parents are invited to the Reading Lounge for refreshments.

NEW COMMUTER STUDENTS ARRIVE
Enter at the Arts Center parking lot and then make your way to the Forum in the Shults Center to pick up your Orientation materials.

COMMUTING TO NAZ

Commuter students will meet with returning commuters to learn more about available resources including mail folders and lockers as well as how to get involved with the Nazareth Commuter Association (NCA).

LIVING AT NAZ
Residence Halls
Resident students will meet with the Resident Assistants (RAs) on their floor to talk about community standards and what it means to be a member of the Nazareth community.

All new international students should attend this required Orientation session with the Center for International Education staff. Breakfast will be provided.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION ADVISOR/ADVISEE MEETINGS
Golisano Academic Center, 2nd Floor
Students majoring in Inclusive Childhood Education and students pursuing the Adolescence and Adolescence Inclusive Education certification programs will meet with their education advisors. Art Education and Music Education students do not need to attend this session.

This event is for non-music majors looking to continue their interest in music through participation in ensembles. Concert Band, Orchestra, Men's Choral Ensemble, Women's Choral Ensemble, Chamber Singers (audition required), Basketball Pep Band and Jazz Ensemble are just a few of the opportunities offered in the Department of Music.
