Welcome to the website for the Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Research at Nazareth College, where you will find a number of resources to help you in both your search for funding and the administration of grants received.

The Office is available to help Nazareth College faculty identify appropriate funding sources for their scholarly research and activities, as well as guide them in the development of their grant proposal narratives and budgets once funding opportunities have been identified. In addition, the Office is responsible for monitoring all grant activity, ensuring accountability and compliance with applicable federal regulations and College policies, and overseeing the reporting process.

Mission Statement

The Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Research provides leadership in promoting, securing, and administering external funding to support the scholarly activities of Nazareth College faculty members, consistent with the College's mission and commitment to service. In so doing, the Office provides faculty with support related to the articulation and development of fundable research and program agendas, the search for appropriate funding opportunities, proposal preparation and budget development, and reporting requirements and regulation compliance. Moreover, the Office provides review and preliminary approval of all sponsored program proposals to ensure that submissions are consistent with both the College's and the sponsor's guidelines, monitors and authorizes all expenditures to grant restricted accounts, and notifies faculty of upcoming report deadlines.

In addition, the Office works with other relevant College offices to evaluate, formulate, and implement policies and procedures that promote research compliance across the College, and to ensure responsible growth and administration of sponsored activity. The Office ensures effective communications with appropriate College offices concerning grant reporting and oversight responsibilities, and works with these offices to ensure that grant-funded activities are in compliance with College policies and Federal regulations.
