Development Sites & Landscapes
This session was facilitated by Trowbridge and Wolf Landscape Architects and offered a basic introduction to sustainable initiatives and green design practices that can be applied to site work and landscape development. Porous pavements, green roofs, storm water management, campus planning, LEED and the Sustainable Sites Initiative were some of the topics covered.

LEED Certifications & RIT Platinum Status
This presentation addressed trends in the green building market with an overview of the LEED rating system. The presenters shared Best Practices from their experience in designing LEED buildings. They are in the process of designing the RIT’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability to meet LEED-Platinum criteria.

Nazareth is in the process of building a new Math & Science Integrated Learning Center that will be LEED Silver. It is the first for our campus and the Town of Pittsford. The discussion reviewed our process in this historic step forward.
