Undergraduate Association

The Undergraduate Association

Executive Board

  • Made up of six positions – President, VP of Executive Operations, VP of Finance, VP of Communications, VP of Diversity Initiatives, VP of Campus Programming
  • Represents the student body and acts as a liaison with college administration
  • Upholds the UA Constitution and oversees all UA clubs and organizations
  • Provides all undergraduate students with opportunities to be involved on campus whether through participation in clubs or attendance at events
  • Sponsors annual events like Up  All Night and the UA Awards

Senate

  • Made up of four Executive Board members and eighteen Senators
  • Senators represent different areas on campus – classes, commuter association, residence hall council, and diversity initiatives
  • Hears students’ concerns and works to address these issues
  • Allocates funds for conferences, club programs, and campus activities
  • With the Department of Community Service, coordinates student participation in the Breast Cancer Walk and Heart Walk

Diversity Council

  • Made up twelve different UA clubs and organizations that focus on diversity and issues connected to diversity
  • Provides funding and programming support to these organizations
  • Coordinates a diversity event series and the annual Diversity Dinner

Campus Activities Board

  • Made up of six positions – Spirit of Naz, Major Events, Live @ Naz, Recruitment/PR, Off Campus Events, Nightlife
  • Creates and implements a full calendar of events each year
  • Plans annual traditional events like Welcome Back Weekend, Formal and Springfest

Other services funded by the UA include:

  •  Shuttle service to the airport, bus station and train station for students during Reading Days and College breaks
  • Free RTS routes for Naz students on Friday evenings and Saturdays to downtown Rochester and on Sundays to Wegmans and the Pittsford Plaza
  • Bikes@Naz – Bike share program that allows students, faculty and staff to rent a bike for free.  In the winter, snow shoes and cross country skis are also available
