Nazareth College welcomes the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia back to its renovated Arts Center to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Carle's award-winning book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," retold with puppetry in an innovative black light stage presentation. Audiences will delight in the wonderful adventure of a tiny caterpillar with a huge appetite as he changes into a butterfly, the antics of a little cloud appearing and disappearing high in the sky, and the quest of a mixed-up chameleon bored with his life who takes a trip to the zoo. Soaring high and celebrating its 39th season, internationally renowned Garth Fagan Dance arrives at Nazareth College Arts Center with a newly commissioned piece of the highest pedigree: Tony and Olivier Award-winning Garth Fagan's choreography accompanied live by the Grammy Award-winning Ying Quartet. Program highlights include a revival of Landscaped for Ten, a jewel in Fagan's repertoire set to Brahms Violin Concerto, as well as other favorites. There are words to convey the brilliance and intellect of this company, but to view it live is a transcendent experience. Treat yourself. Surrender to the vision.
