Marrlee Burgess works with the Nazareth community to understand first-year transitional needs and to implement programs that encourage student success.

"Students are here to get an education, but 'stuff'—family issues, finances, time management—can get in the way. I help to educate faculty, staff, and student leaders on how to support students. As an institution, we are also embracing the fact that learning takes place in and outside of the classroom. What's cool is that there's a real intention to integrate academic and student life. When everything's in alignment, students have a richer and more meaningful experience."
