(Perspectives II course) Examination of the major events, movements and individuals in the African American experience from colonization through Reconstruction.

Course Codes: BR. Prereq: any PI in History. Multicultural Studies course.

Service Component

Students work with partners from the Flint Street Community Center and the Phillis Wheatley Library, as well as historian David Anderson to create historical material on the SW neighborhood of Rochester for and with local youth.
