ACT 505 - Advanced Auditing

Course Description

This 3 credit course will provide thorough coverage of the theory and practice of auditing using both the transactional cycle and account balance approaches. It will emphasize the development of judgment by the auditor and other factors in decision-making.

Service Component

Students will work in collaboration with the Charles Settlement House and Director of Finance Jean Reithel to conduct a square footage audit of the facility.  This organization uses square footage to allocate and report their annual expenses.  The Charles House and the School of Management have been working together in this specific partnership for 3 years.
