Goals for Parents Council
1) To provide a forum for parents to voice concerns and an
open channel of communication between the Parents Association and
the college.
-Attend bi-annual meetings of Parents Council
-Suggest and/or write articles for Notes to Home newsletter
-Suggest changes or additions to Nazareth Parent Web site
-Recruit other parents to volunteer (in-person, phone, or letter)

To promote opportunities for parents to become more actively involved
in campus programs.
-Aid in planning and promoting Family Weekend
-Volunteer to assist with Summer Academic Orientation sessions and
Fall Orientation
-Volunteer to work with on-campus committees
-Work with Career Services to arrange or host internships for students
in the summer
3)
To assist in the development of the college admissions program.
-Refer promising high school students to Nazareth College
-Volunteer for on-campus Admissions programs (Open House and Experience
Naz Days)
-Encourage accepted high school students to attend Nazareth (in-person
or phone)
-Host and/or attend regional events throughout the school year
4)
To support the Nazareth College annual parents fund.
-Make annual donation to Nazareth College annual fund
-Assist Development Office with parent giving
