Bikes@Naz Gives Campus a New Ride

The Nazareth College Bike Project or "Bikes@Naz" is now open for business and is giving Nazareth students, staff, and faculty a new ride around campus. The Bike Shop is located next to the Racquetball Courts in the Shults Center. Hours of Operation for the Bike Shop are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Bike rentals are free of charge to the Nazareth community and end one hour prior to closing.

The Nazareth College Bike Project is a collaborative effort between Student Activities and the Greenprint@Naz sustainability initiative. Bike selections are at a first come-first serve basis, and renters are provided with a bike, bike helmet, and bike lock. Rentals are available free of charge to Nazareth students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis. Renters must sign a Bike Project Rental Waiver and agree to abide by New York State traffic laws. Bikes can be taken anywhere renters wish to go, and maps are available to be printed out at the bike shop.

Bikes@Naz receives its bikes through donations from members of the Nazareth community as well as purchased bikes from R Community Bikes. All donated bikes are refurbished and provided for use in the Bike shop. The intentions of the Nazareth College Bike Project are to reduce our carbon footprint as well as providing a healthy means of transportation for the Nazareth Community. Through Bikes@Naz, Student Activities as well as Greeprint@Naz hope to improve environmental efforts as well as physical well-being within the Nazareth Community.
