Retired Col. Ann Wright Speaks on Cost of War, Sept. 24

Wright will present The Cost of War in Iraq and Afghanistan.  For more information, please contact Harry Murray, (585) 389-2760.  Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618.

Wright was one of the highest ranking United States government officials to resign in protest of the planned invasion of Iraq. In 2003, she was Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Mongolia and served in the embassy in Afghanistan in 2002. Wright was also in the United States Army and Army Reserves for 29 years.

Being co-author of the book Dissent: Voices of Conscience: Government Insiders Speak Out Against the War in Iraq, Wright tells the stories of men and women, who risked careers, reputations, and freedom out of loyalty to the Constitution and the rule of law. The war in Iraq continues with nearly 50,000 United States troops stationed there.
