VP Gagan Earns Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Honors

Nazareth College’s Kelly Gagan, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, earned top honors from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Genesee Valley Chapter as she was named the Robert A. Clinger Outstanding Professional Fundraiser. She received the honor during the AFP Genesee Valley Chapter - National Philanthropy Day Award Luncheon.

Since coming to Nazareth College in 2000 after working at the Carter Center, the Atlanta-based humanitarian organization founded by former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter, Gagan has launched a successful major gifts program at the college. She played a key role in the $20 million campaign that doubled the size of the campus in 2004.

Gagan, of Pittsford, also established a new capital campaign office that has brought in more than $15 million in commitments for further expansion, the endowment and annual operating goals.

She also led her team to develop a campaign for fundraising and enrollment, with efforts including revamping online content and introducing new advertising.
