Nazareth Hosts Eighth Annual Teen Book Festival, May 18

Nazareth College is hosting the highly anticipated, Eighth Annual Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival (TBF). The event brings thousands of teens with all kinds of literary tastes together to meet their favorite authors.  TBF is Saturday, May 18, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Nazareth College, located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618. This event is free and open to the public. For more information visit or contact Stephanie Squicciarini at the Fairport Public Library at (585) 223-9091.

TBF will bring teens face-to-face with thirty-four award-winning authors from across the nation (and beyond!). Attendees will be able to meet and ask questions of their favorite authors as well as introduce themselves to new ones. The festival opens with a panel with all authors together and then continues with special breakout sessions designed to promote interaction with readers and writers. Teens will also have the chance to attend an autographing session.
Featured authors include Tom Angleberger, Kate Brian, Andrea Cremer, Ellen Hopkins, Mark Shulman, Margaret Stohl, and Terry Trueman. TBF will also feature a special presentation by Michael Morpurgo, author of War Horse.  Books for all of the Festival authors are available at local public or school libraries and for purchase at local Barnes and Noble stores. For more information about all of the TBF authors, visit
In addition to the opportunity to meet authors, teens will also enjoy teen films selected from the Rochester Teen Film Festival, a performance by the Wilson Pearls Steam Team, and more! Special Festival T-Shirts and other merchandise will be available for purchase during the event and Barnes and Noble will handle book sales.
