Nazareth College Hosts Annual Food for Fines Program

As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, Nazareth College’s Campus Safety Department is teaming up once again with the Center for Spirituality for their annual Food for Fines Program. This program is designed to dismiss some parking tickets and to give back to the community in the process.

Campus Safety will waive parking fines for most tickets with a donation of four non-perishable food items. All donations will be placed in food baskets for those in need during the holiday season. Campus Safety will be collecting food items and tickets between Friday, November 1 and Friday, November 15. The campus safety office is located in the basement of the Shults center. For more information, please contact James Leach at

Campus safety will waive a maximum of two tickets per person. Handicap and/or moving violation tickets are exempt from this program. Campus Safety and Center for Spirituality are also collecting non-perishable food items from anyone who would like to donate in the spirit of giving as the holiday season approaches. These items can be dropped off at both the Center for Spirituality on the first floor of the Golisano Academic Center or Campus Safety’s office in the Shults Center (ground level).
