Nazareth College’s Battle of the Beaks Committee is excited to announce that, along with St. John Fisher, it has raised $14,500 this school year for Golisano Children’s Hospital. The committee presented Dr. Elizabeth McAnarney with a check on Wednesday, May 1 at a ceremony in the Nazareth College Shults Center. The funds were raised through the colleges’ annual Battle of the Beaks games, where Nazareth’s and St. John Fisher’s basketball teams face off, as well as the Winter Walk event, where college students and community members participate in a walk around the Nazareth campus. This year’s amount adds to the committee’s six year total of $86,700.
