Nazareth President Daan Braveman is joining a group of more than 20 Nazareth College students and staff, along with students from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, as they embark on an international journey for The March: Bearing Witness to Hope. The March is a global experience with more than 1,000 students from around the world meeting in Germany and Poland to learn and study about the Holocaust. Nazareth has sent a team of students, faculty and staff every other year since 2000 to participate in this powerful program and bring its lessons back to campus and to the Rochester community. For the first time Nazareth welcomes seven community members to the team. The team will tour Warsaw, Krakow and Lublin in Poland, once thriving Jewish cultural centers that were ravaged during the Holocaust. They will also walk through the former death camps of Auschwitz Birkenau and Majdanek as part of their life-changing experience.
