Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College are continuing their “Battle of the Beaks” success by participating in the second annual Winter Walk for Strong Kids on March 27, at 11:00 a.m. Winter Walk for Strong Kids is a fundraiser that helps raise money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Last year’s event raised over $3,000 for the hospital. This is event is open to the public. This fundraiser will be held at St. John Fisher College, in the Student Life Center, 3690 East Ave, Rochester, NY, 14618. This event is free to all participants who raise a minimum of $10 in pledges. All participants that raise a minimum of $25 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Along with the approximate one mile walk around campus, there will be many activities for participants of all ages. There will be crafts, tailgating, games, sports activities, carnival games, cookie decorating, snacks and much more. The walk will be outside, and activities will take place inside.
