Poet, translator, anthology editor, and essayist Piotr Sommer will be conducting a poetry reading at Nazareth College on Wednesday, March 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the College’s Shults Center Forum. This special event will involve a Q&A regarding poetry, translation, editing and international journal. There will be copies of Continued, Sommer’s recently published book of poems translated into English, available that evening for a book signing with the author. This event is free and open to the public.

Sommer, visiting professor in the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies at the University of Rochester, has published eleven poetry collections, two books essays and several anthologies in Polish. The Warsaw, Poland native regularly gives lectures at American universities and has gained various awards. Sommer can translate from British, Irish and American literature.
