Confronting the Myth: Disability Beyond the Four Walls, March 24

Nazareth College is proud to present Confronting the Myth: Disability Beyond the Four Walls, a lecture by Keith Jones, on Wednesday, March 24, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in the Nazareth College Arts Center Callahan Theater. Jones' presentation will address the perceptions of disability and how they relate to education and employment. He is active in both multicultural and cross-disability education as well as an advocate for inclusion and empowerment. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. To register, email econtop4@naz.edu. Nazareth is located at 4245 East Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14618.
In order to see a person for who they really are it is necessary to see the world as they do.
Jones agrees with this idea and seeks to inspire professionals to look beyond face values and first impressions to see the person within and their potential. This event is sponsored by The Academic Lecture Committee, The School of Education Alice Foley Speaker Series, School of Health & Human Services, The Interprofessional Education Steering Committee, The Department of Inclusive Childhood Education, and The Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Founded in 1924, Nazareth College is located on a close-knit, suburban campus in the dynamic, metropolitan region of Rochester, N.Y.
