Alzheimer’s disease takes center stage at Nazareth College as Todd Goddard of the Rochester Alzheimer’s Association speaks on Thursday, January 20, in the Nazareth Shults Center Forum at 7:00 p.m. This is event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Gerontology Club and the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society. Goddard will speak about Alzheimer’s disease, present an overview on dementia, and will also provide different approaches to improve communication with those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Donations will be collected prior to the lecture for Alzheimer’s care, support, research, awareness, and advocacy. Donations will be presented to the Alzheimer’s Association on the evening of the event. Those who donate will be entered to win a raffle basket as well as a purple ribbon to support the fight against Alzheimer’s.
