Nazareth to Honor Vigdor with Woerner Kollmorgen Award

Nazareth College is proud to honor Justin L. Vigdor,
lawyer and civic leader, as this year’s Woerner Kollmorgen Award recipient. This annual ceremony and luncheon recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community, thereby improving the quality of life in the greater Rochester area. The award was made possible by a donation from Don H. Kollmorgen and Louise Woerner. Vigdor, of Rochester, is a senior partner at Boylan, Brown, Code, Vigdor & Wilson, LLP. He concentrates his practice on corporate and securities law and alternative dispute resolution. He received his master of law from New York University, his bachelor of law, magna cum laude, from St. John’s University, and his bachelor of science from the University of Maryland. Vigdor has held many executive positions in the Monroe County and American Bar Association. As a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, Vidgor served as president, chairman of its Corporation, Banking and Business Section, and president of its Foundation. For the American Bar Association he served as president of the New York State Bar and served as a member of the House of Delegates. He is also a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, and is a director of The Committee for Modern Courts to name a few.
For his work, Vidgor has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World and New York Super Lawyers. He has also received numerous awards such as the Rodenbeck Award for Service to the Community and Legal Profession, the Nathaniel Award for Community Service and Professional Accomplishments, and a Board Leadership Award from the United Way and Rochester Business Journal. Vigdor’s community activities include past president and director of AAA of New York State, director of the Jewish Community Federation of Greater Rochester, and past director of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation.
Founded in 1924, Nazareth College is a coeducational college with undergraduate and graduate studies in the liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in health and human services, education, and management. The College is located on 150 scenic acres near Rochester, New York, and currently enrolls approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students.
