Nazareth College is ready to welcome the Class of 2015 as 450 new freshmen and 160 transfer students arrive on campus. Nazareth's "Orientation 2011" begins on Thursday, August 25, when the new students from seven countries (including Hungary, China, Pakistan, Myanmar, United Arab Emirates), and 14 states move in to the residence halls on campus. They'll spend the weekend participating in a whirlwind of activities, including New Student Convocation and the annual Orientation Day of Service on Saturday, August 27. The Class of 2015 is 74% female and 26% male, and Nazareth chose the class from a record applicant pool of more than 2,980 applications. Approximately one quarter of the incoming students compete in one of Nazareth’s 24 intercollegiate athletic teams.
