Alzheimer's Disease Lecture at Nazareth, Feb. 1

Alzheimer’s disease takes center stage at Nazareth College as Keith A. Harrington of the Rochester Alzheimer’s Association speaks on Wednesday, February 1, in the Nazareth Shults Center Forum at 7:00 p.m. This is event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Gerontology Club and the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society. The title of the lecture is: The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Harrington will speak about Alzheimer’s disease, present an overview on dementia, and will also provide different approaches to improve communication with those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Donations will be collected prior to the lecture for Alzheimer’s care, support, research, awareness, and advocacy. Donations will be presented to the Alzheimer’s Association on the evening of the event. Those who donate will be entered to win a raffle basket.
