Mark C. Zeigler is Professor of Music on the faculty of Nazareth College, where he conducts the Nazareth College Chamber Singers and Men’s and Women’s Chorus. His other responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate Choral Conducting and Choral Literature, serving as Program Director for the new Bachelor of Science in Music Business program, and teaching the History of Rock Music and Rock Music Theory and Composition.

Previously, Dr. Zeigler taught secondary choral music in Chula Vista, California, and elementary general music and secondary choral music in Raton, New Mexico. He has also served as music director for churches and community choruses in the San Diego, California, Raton, New Mexico, and Rochester, New York areas.

Dr. Zeigler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting from San Diego State University, where he studied conducting with Frank Almond. He earned his Ph.D. in Choral Music Education at Florida State University, where he studied conducting with Rodney Eichenberger and André Thomas.

Dr. Zeigler has remained active as a scholar, conducting research in the area of audiological disorders in musicians. He regularly teaches seminars that provide practical strategies for musicians to help reduce their risk of developing hearing loss, tinnitus and other audiological pathologies.

Dr. Zeigler was recently elected President of the American Choral Directors Association for the State of New York. He is also a member of the Music Educators National Conference and The College Music Society. He maintains an active schedule as clinician and adjudicator.
