Summer Academy of Vocal Arts and Musical Theatre
A professional training program for students ages 13-18. This is a joint venture between the Empire State Lyric Theatre and the Nazareth College Department of Music.
July 18-July 29, 2011 (Early Bird registration: June 15) Final showcase will be on Friday, July 29, 7:00 p.m. in Callahan Theater. Times: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

Summer Piano Camp
The Nazareth Summer Piano Camp is designed for students who enjoy playing the piano and sharing common interests with their peers. From the curious keyboard musician who has been taking weekly lessons to the more advanced player seriously considering a career in music, our students will tap into their own curiosity and creativity as they seek to expand versatility at the instrument. Our goal is to offer the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experience in the language of music and the tools of music-making.

The Keys to Success

Sing and Play! Move and Learn!
Children from 4 to 6 years old will make music together as they sing songs, play classroom instruments and move creatively, all the while learning basic musical skills and concepts. The class will provide a hands-on experience with orchestral instruments. Come join the fun!

Jazz Intensive
These three days of rigorous and concentrated jazz experience are designed for students with an active and serious background in jazz performance. The course is designed for high school and collegiate students, along with semi-professional musicians. Students will have the unique opportunity to work closely with jazz master, Paul Smoker.
