CMENC Mini-Conference, February 5, 2011
Congratulations to the members of our CMENC chapter for hosting a worthwhile mini-conference this week! The event was well attended and involved local and out-of-town clinicians from as far away as Long Island.  The E-board, led by Regina Memole and the Conference Planning Committee, chaired by Dan Polino both pulled together the successful event with a great deal of help from many music students.

The mission of MENC: The National Association for Music Education is to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. Here at Nazareth College, we pride ourselves on having a very active and involved collegiate chapter of MENC. We have had a surge in enrollment of new members and students eager and willing to learn more about the field of music education. Our activities include: an instrument drive to donate instruments to area schools in need, hosting the Annual Nazareth College Music Education Mini-Conference each winter, coordinating campus workshops that include presentations by experts in the field of music education, attending local Orff workshops, and traveling to regional MENC conferences.

Thursday, September 16 - CMENC Club Meeting (12:10, A-71)
                   -meet other music education majors
                   -learn about what MENC has planned for this year, including:
                    Movie nights, Mentor vs. Mentee Kickball Game, MENC Week,
                    Storytime Band, conferences, workshops, and more. Snacks will
                    be provided.
Friday, September 17  - Music Department Picnic at 4:30 p.m. in front
