Announcing the 2012 Barbara Staropoli Singing Competition Winners

AWARD RECITAL: Friday, November 16, 2012 at 8:00pm. in the Masters Family Community Theater (Room A13), Arts Center, Nazareth College.               

CLASSICAL CATEGORY:

• First Prize awarded to Michaela Swan, mezzo-soprano, a student of Kathryn Cowdrick, a senior at Penfield High School.
• Second Prize awarded to Anders Namestnik, tenor, a student of Riki Connaughton, a junior at the Canandaigua Academy.
• Third Prize awarded to Sara DeFranco, soprano, a student of Patricia Alexander, a senior at Rush-Henrietta High School.
• Honorable Mention awarded to Jahnna Ravenell, soprano, a student of Susanna Adams, a senior at Pittsford-Mendon High School.

MUSICAL THEATER CATEGORY:

• First Prize awarded to Mackenzie Wright, soprano, a student of Judith Ranaletta, a junior at Greece Athena High School.
• Second Prize awarded to Joshua Carey, tenor, a student of Brandon Kelley, a senior at Wheatland-Chili High School.
• Third Prize awarded to Rebecca Rice, a student of Edith Rice, a senior at the Canandaigua Academy.
