Dr. Hannigan has just completed her doctorate degree from Eastman School of Music, where her studies emphasized in Voice Performance and Vocal Pedagogy.  She continues to have a very active role as a teacher and performer. Hannigan Tabon has performed Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Mother/Allison in This is the Rill Speaking (Recorded for Albany Records 2008) Maman in L’Enfant et les sortileges, Don Ramiro in La Finta Giardiniera, Charlotte in A Little Night Music, Old Prioress in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Sandmann in Hansel und Gretel, Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Mercedes in Carmen as well as a plethora of operatic scenes.
Dr. Hannigan Tabon was the winner of the Civic Morning Madrigals Award in Syracuse, NY in 2007.  She also received the Vocal Concerto Competition Award in 2008, and performed Jake Heggie’s Deepest Desire with Eastman Philharmonia’s Chamber Orchestra.  She has worked with Mercury Opera Rochester, and has had the privilege of being a soloist with Eastman’s Symphony Orchestra and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.  She was the recipient of the Teaching Assistant Prize for Secondary Voice from the Eastman School of Music in 2009.  Dr. Hannigan is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and she is also currently a Voice Teacher at the Eastman Community Music School.
