“...Musical, Expressive, Subtle, and Accurate” are words to describe Canadian Pianist ISABELLE AUBIN whose professional opera experiences with regards to musical preparation of entire productions include the Société d’arts Lyriques du Royaume, Opéra Plume, Universitié du Québec, Camp Musical du Lac St-Jean, Festival di Musica da Camera, and The Rochester Opera Factory.
Current positions include Festival Coordinator and Vocal Coach of Festival di Musica da Camera; Collaborative pianist, coach and French diction teacher at Nazareth College of Rochester; pianist and vocal coach with the Empire State Lyric Theatre (debuting August 2006); the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus; and principal keyboard of the Genesee Symphony Orchestra.
As a professional coach her experiences have taken her worldwide to Italy for Centro Studi Italiano, Sessione Senese, and Festival di Musica da Camera. In Canada, the Chœur Symphonique de Saguenay Lac St Jean, Camp Musical du lac St Jean, and College d’Alma. In Austria, the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz.
She has worked with international vocalists Ettore Nova, Ambra Vespasiani, Karina Gauvin, Stefano Algieri, Hugues St-Gelais, Mariana Paunova, Jean-Francois Lapointe, and Marie-Nicole Lemieux.
Ms. Aubin has performed throughout Italy with recent performances in Siena, Pistoia, Lucca, Grosseto, Padova, Treviso, Perugia, Massa, Terni, Tocco da Casauria, Pescara and Ripatransone, with solo orchestra debuts with the Austin Symphony Orchestra; Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus; and the Genesee Symphony Orchestra, in the United States.
She has been a frequent performer on the radio with Broadcasts by Radio Canada. Programs entitled; Concert Dimanche, Opera du Samedi and Jeunes artistes.
Ms. Aubin studied coaching and accompanying with Denise Massee, Robert Evans, and Jean Barr, song interpretation with Graham Johnson, Harold Heiberg, and Paul Schilowski, and piano with Nathalie Pepin, Serge Guillemette, Janina Fialkovska, Karl Engel, Raoul Sosa, and Joseph Bloch.
Ms. Aubin received her BM, from the Conservatoire de Musique du Quebec; MM, from Montreal University; and teaching certificate from the University of Quebec, with continued studies in coaching and collaborative piano at the Mozarteum of Salzburg, American Institute of Musical Studies, Song Fest, Sessione Senese, and Banff Centre.
Ms. Aubin also has a gift and love of Languages. She coaches and performs fluently in French, English, German and Italian.
