Biography:
In addition to teaching at Nazareth College, Christopher Gold has been working as a Board Certified music therapist in the public schools in the Rochester, NY region for the last 10 years. Mr. Gold has experience working with children and young adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities. Throughout his career as a music therapist, Mr. Gold has also worked with adult and child psychiatric and geriatric populations. For the past 5 years, Mr. Gold has supervised Nazareth undergraduate music therapy students during their practicum and internship experiences.
Mr. Gold is a frequent presenter at the American Music Therapy National and Mid-Atlantic Regional conferences. He recently co-authored a music therapy assessment manual, The Music Therapy Special Education Assessment Scale or MT-SEAS. Mr. Gold is involved with the Autism Council of Rochester, and he is a guest faculty member at Kinections, Dance-Movement Therapy Program.
