Biography:
Carl Heuckendorf received a BA in music from Case Western Reserve University, and also holds MA and MM degrees from the University of Minnesota. He is currently a PhD candidate in music theory at the Eastman School of Music, and is writing a dissertation on form and voice-leading in the keyboard sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti. His research interests include Schenkerian Theory, Sonata Theory, and theories of rhythm in tonal music.
