Camp Offerings 2013
Summer Institute of Vocal Arts and Musical Theatre
A professional training program for students ages 13-18. This is a joint venture between the Empire State Lyric Theatre and the Nazareth College Department of Music.
July 22-August 3, 2013
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 27, 12:00 -3:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 3, 12:00-3:00 p.m.
Final Showcase: Saturday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m.in the Masters Family Community Theatre (A-13), Nazareth College Arts Center.
Tuition: $600 ($550 if registered by June 24)
Overnight Experience $1,200 (includes room $400; board $300 and reduced tuition $500)
Application Requirements:
Applicant must be between 13 and 18 years old.
Applicant must provide a reference letter from his/her vocal director and/or voice teacher.
Applicant must bring two selections from the Musical Theater genre in contrasting styles, memorized to the program

Summer Piano Camp 2013
The Nazareth Summer Piano Camp is designed for students who enjoy playing the piano and sharing common interests with their peers. From the curious keyboard musician who has been taking weekly lessons to the more advanced player seriously considering a career in music, our students will tap into their own curiosity and creativity as they seek to expand versatility at the instrument. Our goal is to offer the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and experience in the language of music and the tools of music-making.

Tuition: $300.00 ($275.00 if register by June 7, 2013)

Music For Everyone
Sing, move, play, learn and grow! Alongside their parents and siblings, children enrolled in the Music For Everyone Program will participate in musical activities that are both fun and educational. Each class engages a variety of learning styles and levels as everyone makes music together lead by music teacher and music therapist , Missy Reed. Children will be introduced to an array of instruments, including a “visit” to an instrument petting zoo! Handouts will be provided with song titles and lyrics, with suggestions for music-making at home. All of the classes involve parents and guardians along with the children.
