Graduate student, Nazareth College “I’m getting my Master’s in Inclusive Education here at Nazareth. It’s a new 1 year program where I am also performing action research at State Road Elementary in Webster with the school principal. I am working to determine how we can get more family engagement in the school community and how this will benefit the students academically. I am also getting an extension in gifted education through my program as well.” |
Lisa DiMatteo '11Quality Assurance, Epic Systems, Madison, WI “I’m working for Epic, a health care software company. I do quality assurance for the Tapestry application of the software, which is the application that managed care organizations use. I’m absolutely loving the Midwest and couldn't be happier with my move out to Madison. I’ve learned an incredible amount during my first few months at work and am continuing to learn every day. It is a steep learning curve, but a neat experience to be part of a successful company!” |
Josh Pemberton '10Billing and Reconciliation Specialist, Paychex "I work within the Paychex Insurance Agency as a Billing and Reconciliation Specialist. I have been working here for almost 2 months and it is going great. I am grateful that I found a full-time, professional job while the country is going through hard times with the economy and a low job market. This is a great company to work for and I only hope to grow from here.” |
Kristen McIntyre '09Customer Service Specialist and Personal Banker, Fairport Savings Bank "Right now I am working as a Customer Service Specialist and Personal Banker at Fairport Savings Bank. I also still lend a hand in our Mortgage Department where I interned. For the year to come I will continue to work my way through the departments of the bank and learn more about its operations. I will also be pursuing my MBA with a concentration in economics." |
Emily Marushak '08Math teacher, Fairport Central School District "Right now I am working as a full time math teacher at Fairport teaching Integrated Algebra (9th grade) and AIS (extra math help) for 10th and 11th graders. I am also attending the University of Rochester as a full time grad student." |
Matt Bader '08Credit Risk department, Paychex "I interned in the credit risk department at Paychex and now work there full time. Basically, I monitor the payrolls that the company is processing in order to mitigate risk. I have my hands on a lot of projects and am always trying to create new models or ways to monitor clients. The job allows me to stay in touch with the financial markets; the current failures [of those markets] indirectly affect Paychex by negatively affecting our clients. I am also helping to maintain the database that we use. I am considering graduate school next year or possibly going for a financial certification.” |
