There are many study spaces available to meet a variety of studying needs.

Library Holdings

We have over a quarter of a million books, 45,000 print journals, 137,000 electronic resources, and an extensive media collection to support your academic needs.

Main Level Floorplan 

Main Level

This level has an entrance facing Smyth and Shults. After entering the vestibule you will see the nighttime book drop and you will encounter the Atrium and Millie's Coffee shop before entering the library proper.

Circulation Desk

At this desk you will get your barcode, check items in/out, pay fines, pick up holds and Interlibrary Loans, and get course reserves among other services. Just past the circulation desk is the browsing lounge.

Browsing Lounge

In the browsing lounge you will have access to couches and chairs, as well as the NazFlix and McNaughton special collections.  From here you can also access the Rare Book Room as well as the Thomas Merton Room

Reading Room

From the browsing lounge you can pass through the automatic doors into the Reading Room.  Inside you will find a large space outfitted with computers, as well as several great study spaces.  Most of the physical books are housed in this area, as well as on the mezzanine level. There is also access to the Children's Literature Room and the Library Instruction Room.

Research and Instruction Desk

The Research and Instruction Desk overlooks the main computer area.  Our staff here can help you search and answer research questions. 

Teaching and Learning Technologies

Teaching and Learning Technologies provides faculty and staff a dedicated area for webinars, conference calls, tech training, meetings or individual Mac and PC work stations. 

Lower Level Floorplan

Lower Level

This level has an entrance from the tunnels, which leads directly to the Technology and Media Services Desk.

Technology and Media Services Desk

The TMS desk provides walkup and phone call support for faculty and staff computers, as well as all on-campus labs.  They also provide password help and campus owned software support.  Additionally they are the check out point for media equipment.

Media Resources Desk

The Media Resources desk provides recording support, publishing, lamination, poster printing and more, and is located near to Media B.

Media A and B

These rooms can be reserved for classes and events, and are monitored by the TMS desk.

Interlibrary Loan and Serials Office

The journals stacks is where all print periodicals are housed and is located next to the Interlibrary Loan office.  This office handles questions about periodicals as well as all ILL requests in which we are requesting items from another library.

Tutoring Center

The tutoring center provides tutoring assistance by appointment and drop in.  

Computer lab 122

This computer lab is available for use all hours the library is open and is located next to the tutoring center.
