An internship is a great way to gain practical experience and make future career connections! Many Nazareth students complete internships locally, regionally, and even internationally.
The Professional Internship Program (PIP) office administers a college-wide internship program involving a wide range of fields and academic programs. Internships at Nazareth College are academic courses consisting of pre-professional work experience in the students’ career fields coupled with targeted reflective and analytical assignments designed to help students become more mature career decision makers. The Internship Office develops opportunities locally and beyond with the collaboration of academic departments. Internships are available through partnerships with organizations in all sectors of the community: major corporations, small businesses, NGOs, arts and educational organizations, public and government agencies, etc. Students may also develop their own independent internships with approval from the Internship Office and their departmental advisor. During 2012-13, nearly 200 students from 25 different majors completed internships through the Professional Internship Program.
