England: Service Learning Program

Prepare for Summer 2014

Applications will be accepted April 2013! Start planning now!

General Program Description

The Leeds/Nazareth International Service Exchange is an exciting two and a half week service trip to England! Travel as a member of the Naz team to Leeds, England where you will work with the Get Ahead Team’s Summer Camp! Assist adolescents as they participate in a college experience, learning about careers and college life. The next project is at Hollybank Trust, working with individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, creative projects, and maybe even go sailing! Through the West Indian Cultural Center in Chapeltown our students explore living history while participating in enriching activities with youth and elder community members. Students dance with the community during the “Carnival” celebration and explore the history of Chapeltown through tours and dialogue with community elders.  For more details about the program, please view the "Program Details" menu below.
