Before submitting an application to SRISA, you must first meet with Josh Fess, Assistant Director for Study Abroad Programs in the CIE.

Complete the following steps directly through SRISA:

• Enrollment Application
• Housing Application 
• Official Transcript (student requests transcript from Nazareth)
• Mail to: SRISA Admissions / 921 South St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, TX 78205-3452, Or
• Request official electronic transcript be sent to:  admissions@santareparata.org

Submit the following documents to the Center for International Education:

• Signed Release and Liability Form
• Health Form
• Transfer Credit Approval Form
• Form must be printed and signed by:
• Faculty Advisor(s),
• Assistant Director for Overseas Studies & Exchanges

Application Deadlines:

• Spring Semester: October 15

• Fall Semester: March 15

A valid passport and visa are required for this trip. For long stay visas beyond 90 days, please download and fill in the Long Term Application Form

Costs for one semester:

The cost of a semester in Italy is equivalent to the cost of Nazareth University tuition; the cost of accommodations is paid directly to SRISA.

The costs include:

• Tuition
• 24-hour emergency assistance
• Some art supplies
• SRISA student ID
• Orientation and welcome dinner
• Housing in shared apartments
• Institute facilities
• Cultural activities
• Some day and weekend field trips
• Italian cooking or wine tasting lesson

*Please note: Students are required to pay a $500 security deposit when applying that is fully refundable upon completion of program based on room condition.

Students are responsible for their own meals. Living quarters include well-equipped kitchens. The program fees also do not include: travel to/from Italy, textbooks or course materials, cell phones, meals, course lab fees, and optional excursions and activities.

A Resident Director, student services coordinators, and a housing coordinator are available to students

Financial Aid

Students' financial aid can be applied towards the cost of their time abroad. Questions may be directed to the Office of Financial Aid. Students from other institutions should contact their respective Financial Aid Office.

Transportation

Students are responsible for making their own flight arrangements. Students traveling together on the specified dates are responsible for their own transportation to the school.

The refund policy is in accordance with the Student Accounts policies of Nazareth University.

Visit Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) to see courses available for upcoming semesters.

The program combines a mandatory 3-credit Italian language course (all levels available) with other courses in art history, economics, international business, history, political science, literature, media studies, and visual arts. Courses integrate local resources and immerse students in the Florentine environment through on-site learning. Field trips are included, arranged by program faculty.

Excursions are plentiful and immersive in all aspects related to Italian culture, language, food and more.
