Concepción is the capital city of the Bío Bío Region and is located in the central part of Chile, near the Pacific Ocean. Universidad de Concepción (UPC) was the third university established in Chile and has become a cultural heritage of the city of Concepción. The main campus is located in the center of the city and covers an area of approximately 100 acres.  Along with its beautiful architecture and magnificent park, the Concepción campus boasts of breathtaking gardens which attracts visitors from around the world.  The UPC campus is also the headquarters of two multinational Centers for research and training, the Biotechnology Center and the Marine Biological Stations in the Dichato Bay near Concepción.  The University has several groups producing outstanding scientific research with permanent national and international support.

UPC currently offers 90 undergraduate programs and students can choose from a variety of disciplines such as biological and chemical sciences, education, humanities and art, law and sciences.

Semester 1 (March-July): January 1st

Semester 2 (August-December): July 1st

Costs and Financial Aid

Students pay Nazareth College tuition and retain their full Nazareth financial aid packages (excluding work study and room grants).

Living Accommodations

Students are responsible for arranging and paying for room and board. They may choose to live in private rental accommodations near their campus; utilities and food are not included.
