A Career in Occupational Therapy

The growing number of children with disabilities and the elderly who require assistance has resulted in a consistent need for occupational therapists.  The Bureau of Labor Statistics (2010-11) indicates that in Occupational Therapy, employment is expected to grow much faster than average and that job opportunities are good, and US News & World Report named Occupational Therapy one of its “Best Careers 2009.” 

As an occupational therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to individuals in a variety of settings.  The diversity of Occupational Therapy will allow you to find an area in which you can grow and continue to learn as a professional.
