MS in Speech-Language Pathology: Extended Program Option
The Extended Graduate SLP Program is designed for individuals who have undergraduate degrees in areas other than communication sciences and disorders but who wish to pursue a graduate SLP degree. The Extended Program includes a core set of undergraduate foundational courses that may be taken concurrently with graduate courses depending on the individual plan of study designed by the student and the Graduate Program Director. Potential applicants for the Extended Program may take some of the foundational courses as a non-matriculated student provided the following criteria are met:
The non-matriculated student
- must have permission* from the Department Chairperson prior to enrolling in any departmental course.
- may take a maximum of nine (9) credit hours in any given semester.
- must have a completed application to the graduate SLP program on file prior to enrolling in a second semester of study.
- is limited to a total of twelve (12) credit hours total under non-matriculated status.
*Please note: Permission to enroll in undergraduate foundational courses does not imply or enhance acceptance in to the graduate program.
