The occupational therapy clinic offers comprehensive developmental and rehabilitation services to Rochester-area children and adults. Wellness groups are also offered to maintain a person’s skills and abilities.
Potential Clients
The clinic serves children and adolescents with diagnoses such as autism, Asperger’s disorder, sensory integrative dysfunction, learning disabilities, and cerebral palsy. It also provides treatment for adults with hand injuries and orthopedic, neurological, and psychosocial needs.
Session Schedule
The clinic offers 50-minute weekly sessions. Sessions follow the Nazareth College semester schedule and may occur in an individual or a small group format, depending upon client needs and clinic scheduling factors.
Student Clinicians
Therapy services are provided by students in the occupational therapy five-year master’s program. All therapy provided by students is supervised by faculty licensed by the New York State Office of the Professions and certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists.
Referrals
Receipt of a referral from a physician, nurse practitioner, or a physician’s assistant is required to receive OT services.
Eligibility and Fees
The clinic offers affordable services to individuals who are no longer eligible for services under their health care coverage. It also offers services to children whose families would like to receive services that supplement those provided by their school district. Please contact the clinic for the current cost of service.
Location
The OT clinic is found on the Nazareth campus in Carroll Hall. The clinic space is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
