The occupational therapy clinic offers comprehensive developmental and rehabilitation services to Rochester-area children and adults. Wellness groups are also offered to maintain a person’s skills and abilities.
The clinic serves children and adolescents with diagnoses such as autism, Asperger’s disorder, sensory integrative dysfunction, learning disabilities, and cerebral palsy. It also provides treatment for adults with hand injuries and orthopedic, neurological, and psychosocial needs.
The clinic offers 50-minute weekly sessions. Sessions follow the Nazareth College semester schedule and may occur in an individual or a small group format, depending upon client needs and clinic scheduling factors.
Therapy services are provided by students in the occupational therapy five-year master’s program. All therapy provided by students is supervised by faculty licensed by the New York State Office of the Professions and certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists.
Receipt of a referral from a physician, nurse practitioner, or a physician’s assistant is required to receive OT services.
