On-Campus Housing

Graduate Student Housing Information: Summer 2012
Applications for summer housing will be available on March 28th, and are due on April 15th. Rooms will be available in apartments. Note - last year's costs were $754 per term ($1508 for the entire summer).  It is anticipated that there will be a modest increase for summer 2012. Any further questions should be referred to Residential Life.

Graduate Student Housing Information: Spring 2012
There is limited on-campus housing available to graduate students. On-campus housing includes free laundry facilities, all utilities, cable, internet, and local phone service.

Apartments - Breen, Lyons, and Portka Halls with four single rooms and shared living area. Students must vacate residence halls during breaks

Single Room - George Hall with shared toilet/sink with one other single room; communal shower facilities; communal/limited kitchen facilities; shared floor lounges. Students must vacate residence halls during breaks and between semesters. The minimum board plan would be for an 8 mean plan for $1,824 per semester, and the traditional mean plan ("Freedom Silver Plan"-unlimited access) will cost $2,277 per semester.

Please note the following restrictions for On-Campus housing:

• No housing available for spouses or families
• Students must vacate housing between semesters and during college breaks due to liability issues

Directions for Requesting On-campus Housing

1. Indicate your interest in on-campus housing on the Intent to Enroll form in your acceptance packet, and mail that form, along with your housing deposit (and enrollment deposit), to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
2. Upon receipt of your Intent to Enroll form indicating your interest in on-campus housing, we will mail you a housing contract. The deadline is May 15 for receipt of the completed housing contract in the Office of Residential Life.
3. Because there is limited on-campus housing available for graduate students, housing requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have submitted a housing deposit, but are not able to secure on-campus housing, your housing deposit will be applied to your graduate tuition.

Each city on the website is broken down into neighborhoods, highlighting price, noise level, attractions, restaurants and shopping. To fit each users personality, the site uses the "check in" Facebook app to learn what each user likes, doesn't like, where they go, and where there friends go - creating a personalized list of apartments that suits your interests.
